I bought this ''Enduro'' in 2022 when the Orange Factory Team were compeeting the EWS with this baby. The industrial fridge aesthetic really is something. In the meantime, Orange have released the 170/170mm Switch7 with the articulated single pivot rear triangle which they label as their enduro bike. The successor to my Switch6 has 160/160mm travel and is labelled as a trail bike. Mine only has 160/145mm travel but in the smallest size with 467mm reach, 64° head angle, the extremely low bottom bracket and long 1250mm wheelbase it is anything but a playful trail bike. The lock on the shock and the 76° seat angle make it very easy to pedal. Ts a reference: the most cc 120mm Orange has the same 76° seatangle. At 14.6kg, it is relatively light for a complete lack of carbon parts and I was able to replace the two rear bearings at home in 60 minutes without an stand or special tools. For me, it's the perfect mtb. I can master long, steep climbs relatively efficiently. The 145mm suspension is not too sluggish on flowing singletrack trails and the acceleration is sensational. Thanks to the aggressive geo, I dare to ride very steep passages and completely take let off the brakes in corners. The 160mm in front are also used from time to time on park days, rough trails or enduro races.

ianiscaratti says:
yes, it makes the upper chain length stay exactly the same no matther how deep i'm in to the travel. the lower part of the chain gets adjusted by the rd clutch. like this the suspension works as good as it would without a chain.
