I bought the frame and built it up into this mostly with various parts I had lying around my apartment.

Shimano Dura-Ace FC-7400 170mm road cranks, Shimano UN54 bottom bracket
Pedals:
MKS Royal Nuevo pedals, Soma clips, Kashimax Fivegold straps
Drivetrain/Cog/Chainring/Chain:
Surly 18 tooth cog, Sugino Messenger 46-tooth chainring, KMC K710 chain
Saddle/Seatpost:
San Marco Concor saddle, Thomson Elite seatpost
Front Wheel/Hub/Tire:
Velocity Deep V laced 3x to a Dura-Ace hub, Vittoria Rubino Pro 700x23 tire
Rear Wheel/Hub/Tire:
Velocity Deep V laced 3x to a Paul hub, Continental Gatorskin 700x23 tire

There's just something about a beat to fuck rusted steel bike that screams "I'm SEXY" This bike is amazing and has been the background on my computer for some time now.

Thanks! It's a black Sugino Messenger 130bcd chainring with the paint removed. I used oven cleaner and sandpaper to remove the paint.

Sorry, I accidentally removed your comment by clicking the wrong link. But to keep it protected, I just keep a layer of metal polish on it. I'm always wrenching on my bikes, so I just keep a bit of polish on it and it's no problem. :-)
