Was out riding hard at night on a trail I thought I knew well. Turns out there's a curb I'd never noticed. Destroyed the bike, my helmet, bruised some ribs and my face, lots of road rash, and destroyed my hands. It will be missed.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm glad I'm ok too, it could've been a lot worse. My helmet probably saved my life, I probably wouldn't have been discovered until the next morning had I been knocked out.

damn, horrible. you crashed the frame, but your front wheelset didn't take much damage.

Yeah, the rim has quite the dent and the wheel is pretty out of true, but looks nothing like the frame. I still haven't taken it apart.

holy fuck, how fast were you going? Looks like your helmet really saved you from brain damage.

Probably about 25 mph or so. And yeah, my helmet definitely saved me!

Loving this. Did you bring this to the true crit?

Nah I rode a GT Kinesis at the True Crit, though it had this fork on it! I rode this at the King of Colfax though!

What a toll...sorry to hear about the crash but im glad you're okay, I recently crashed by losing traction on a sharp turn, good thing I had a helmet and a long sleeve jacket, otherwish I'd be in worse shape
