if you still have it want to sell it

Why would you want this? It has been appraised at worthless / unsalvageable short of taking it to a custom frame builder and having him basically dissemble the whole frame and re brake the whole thing for a couple thousand bucks. Now that I think about it, I don't think that I'd ever do that for a frame that way too small for me.

^ You spelled damn wrong. But no big deal because I'm bad at spelling too.
Posted about 12 years ago
Damn dude! Sorry about your ride. Hope your okay.
Posted about 13 years ago
yea dude, thanks for your concern man, i really appreciate it.
and yea dude, healed up quick and are back to doing a couple hundred miles a week. :]
Posted about 13 years ago
Damn man, that really sucks. Glad your ok though dude and to hear from you. I almost came close riding home tonight during my cool down. Damn BMW barley stopped at the light and was about 3 inches form hitting me. Dude had to skid stop and I hauled ass to get out of the way the split second. What frame you plan on riding? Are you back to your old one or something new?
Posted about 13 years ago
damn dude, some drivers dude, simply pathetic. glad that you werent hit though.
and im still a little banged up so im not really worrying about my bike yet and hopefully, well get the money from the gal that hit me before in done healing.
and nah, like i said, im still hurt, so im not using my old bike, my friend currently has it actually.
and im really looking into a planet x track frame, a low pursuit frame, or an njs frame, probably samson or kalavinka, but idk yet, its just annoying because i had to spend all of my time getting all the different parts for this bike, hahaha, and i dont really wanna get a frame that would make me have to get all new parts again. hahaa. but idk.
got any suggestions man, i really honestly dont know what i want.
cannondale track, definitely, over everything else, but those are so rare, you know?
Posted about 13 years ago
such a bummer, i'm sure you'll build up something super proper and to look on the bright side you're okay and you have a snazzy new wall ornament.
Posted about 13 years ago
Just saw the pictures... so sad. Are you planning to attempt to get it repaired? or just start over?
Posted about 13 years ago
idk dude, im gonna be honest, the bike was a little to small, hard to skid on, and gave me lower back problems, hahaha, im looking into just a new frame thatll fit nicely, maybe a low pursuit.
Posted about 13 years ago
If you could get a Low, then that'd be awesome. I'm guessing the waiting period would be pretty long since they're custom made. Also, do you still have the IRO to ride? If not, that must really suck.
Posted about 13 years ago
yea, i do still have it, but i sprained me wrist and my knee so ill probably be off the bike for a while. several weeks is what it seems like. :/
Posted about 13 years ago
that really sucks... Also, was the HED. 3 untrued? Or were any other parts besides the frame damaged?
Posted about 13 years ago
yep, the hed 3 was untrued and the tubular gluing surface was fucked up a bit in various places.
i had a fun week with that wheel. hahahahaha
Posted about 13 years ago
ouch, was it only slightly untrued? or is it like seriously bent? Because my disc is slightly untrue and apparently it's no big deal
Posted about 13 years ago
ok, well at least there's a little bit of good news. Also, if you don't mind me asking, how'd the car hit you?
Posted about 13 years ago
on my left side, t boned, she was supposed to yield to her left turn from the other side of the road and didnt and i was going like, 22, 23, it happened to fast and i got hit.
Posted about 13 years ago
Aww man! Glad to see you are OK but sorry the bike is gone.
Posted about 13 years ago
yea dude, shit happens, just gotta move on and hopefully get another pursuit bike. ;]
Posted about 13 years ago
I don't know much about frame building/repair, but if the only problem is the top tube it might be able to be fixed by another builder. I know they sometimes can.
Posted about 13 years ago
Oh, I missed the fork. again, a builder could definitely make you another one.
Hope your okay!
Posted about 13 years ago
do you really think they could? and yea man, im doing alright. thanks for the concern. :]
Posted about 13 years ago
Yeah, I'm fairly certain they could make a new fork. The frame, maybe! It wouldn't be very cheap... but if you like the frame it might be worth it.
Posted about 13 years ago
yea dude, idk if i liked that frame enough. it was really small and hard to skid on and gave me lower back problems. hahahaha.
Posted about 13 years ago
ah man that sucks
i loved this bike
guess you can get something else now... which doesn't suck.
Posted about 13 years ago
Jeez you just got this thing! Ride safe man
Posted about 13 years ago
Screw the Low it looks just like the mash. Get custom! or I mean if you want a Low I think the track looks nicer than the pursuit
Posted about 13 years ago
thats awful! hope youre alright. are you going to post some photos of the bike as of now? im pretty curious
Posted about 13 years ago
so sad to hear it's gone... I wish you a speedy recovery.
Posted about 13 years ago
Nice build man.. Sad to hear its gone.
Posted about 13 years ago
yea man. just got back from the hospital, im pretty bummed. oh well though, shit happens and the frame was the only thing that is unfixable.
Posted about 13 years ago
Good to hear you were ok tho man. a frame can be replaced but not our lives
Posted about 13 years ago
The HED. 3 looks awesome, if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for it? Also, instead of a Zipp 900 disc, you could look at some of the older HED. discs, I just picked up an old clincher 7-speed (soon to be 8) HED. disc for 60 bucks. And it is possible to convert them to track discs.
Posted about 13 years ago
so it IS possible to convert those things? yea dude, id rather have one of the older hed discs cause then id matching wheels. :] all i wanted to know is if i could convert them, do you know how they would do that by any chance?
and yea dude, the 650c version is less in demand so i got for real cheap, 305 with 30 dollar shipping.
Posted about 13 years ago
http://bikepennst8.blogspot.com/2008/05... there's a quick tutorial on how to do it. The kit this guy is using is designed for track use only, so there's no room for a lockring. I've heard that the Surly Fixxer also works on the disc.
Posted about 13 years ago
hey thanks a bunch man. if i ever come across a hed disc for 60 bucks, ill definitely buy it, hahaha. and this we be helpful in converting it. thanks man. :]

Hey! Your trispoke is on backwads
Posted about 13 years ago
???? i didnt know that there was a way to put it on backwards? is the valve hole supposed to be on the right side? and why, if i may ask.
Posted about 13 years ago
well, i just read about it and thats funny, i never knew, just switched it around. good eye.
Posted about 13 years ago
Haha yeah there is a way the wheel is suppose to rotate because the spokes are actually shaped like an airplane wing
Posted about 13 years ago
Wow, great build, that gear ratio is awesome. If you don't mind me asking, what's the story behind the frame? I've never of J. Harris. Also, IMO, some Cinelli LA84s would look great on it.
Posted over 13 years ago
DUDE! thats so funny, ive always loved the LA84s and have wanted them forever, but theyre so rare.
but yea, im not sure if this is true, but i know that R. J. Harris was a professional australian track racer and i think that two things happened: he either knew how to make frames himself and made this one himself, or he had a very serious frame builder make a custom frame for him, cause the geometry on this frame dude, i mean, its tighter than njs frames, so its gotta be custom.
Posted over 13 years ago
Looks awesome! but uncomfortable for me personally. but more power to ya if you handle it. Beautiful crankset
Posted over 13 years ago
thanks a lot man. :] but honestly, dont judge a book by its cover, this bike, no bullshit, is more comfy than my previous bike.
Posted over 13 years ago
wow thats gorgeous, its nice to see a legit ratio too. very nice bike
Posted over 13 years ago
yeah man that's sweet.
good thing you got clipless pedals
try not to drop curbs or you'll bash your ring haha.
looks sick
Posted over 13 years ago
Is the axle fully in the drop out? It looks a little close.
Posted over 13 years ago
yea, everyones been telling me that, its still in the drop out, but barely.
i have a did half link coming in the mail and itll fix that up nicely.
Posted over 13 years ago
nah man, without the half link, it would have been too close to the point where its touching or too far away to the point... uhhh, where i dont like it. hahaha, this is what its like with the half link.

very responsive.
Posted over 13 years ago
that's an enormous gear, do you really ride with that ratio when you're not racing? you must have Chris Hoy legs.
Posted over 13 years ago
yea dude, its honestly not bad, makes it easy to pass up the roadies. ;]
Posted over 13 years ago
may be a stupid question but dont you think braking (skidding) is hard on those?!
Posted over 13 years ago
dude, not stupid question at all. i skid sitting on my seat, and even that is more challenging. but i tried to do it leaning forward for shits and giggles the other day... well, its basically impossible.

Hows running a 54/16 feel?

jdawg4334 says:
It felt good when I did it because I was still faster than all of my buddies hills or flats. I met some people that truly are fast and this ratio couldn't hold it's ground.
I prefer in the 51:17 realm.
