Sweet bike.
What kind of chainring bolts are you using for omnium crack and FSA chainring? Are those the omnium stock bolts?

This is my favorite KHS build and serves as an inspiration for my own KHS. Keep up the good work!

really dig this bike!! looks fast!! you hold it down for the OC track bike scene! good to know there real cyclist among all the skittles bikes!
Posted almost 12 years ago
Hahaha, my friends and I are always saying the same thing. Fixed gear is just... not professional down here. So it's our job to keep it real. Thanks man!
Posted almost 12 years ago
I just moved to the OC and I have to agree... then again I live in Irvine... probably one of the most boring cities for a high schooler... and let's not even begin to discuss the non-existent scene here.
Posted almost 12 years ago
Hahaha, Irvine has like the biggest scene ever! But then again, for you to say that, you must not be Asian. Just ride to different cities! But you're right, now that I think of it, I literally never ride into Irvine.

Idk from what it seems like all the kids have fgfs or bmx.. but maybe UCI is better? I'm half illipino lol but I haven't visited UCI yet. Is that the area you're more referring to as having the scene? I know road biking here is strong as hell though.

all around LA is has a prety nice scene LA has an all around bike scene from road to mountain CX track BMX ext.
Posted almost 12 years ago
Hahaha, not fixie scene, it's all about that ABD scene. And LA is too gnarly... Gotta go to Laguna.

How much did you pick up this frameset for?
And nice paint looks cool i black
Posted about 12 years ago
Thanks! Gonna get it professionally painted soon!
And I got the bike complete with cheaper parts on it for 660! 65 dollar shipping I think.

ive just noticed where you placed your wireless reciever on the rear triangle, is it accurate from the rear all the way to your stem? and what kind of wireless bike computer is it?
Posted about 12 years ago
It's a Bontrager Node. he puts it on the chain stay because it also reads cadence. There's a magnet that goes on the non drive-side crank arm to tell you how many rotations per minute you're legs are moving.

Since Everyone loves pursuit bikes so much thought i might leave this here

Mehh, State Bicycle Co. has tended to hold a terrific track record for low quality bikes.
Posted about 12 years ago
Idk i have a State my self feels good on the road better than aluminum frames.
Havn't had a problem yet but we'll see
Posted about 12 years ago
Looks a lot more clean now !
What happened to the brakes though !
Posted about 12 years ago

It's amazing! I've always heard everyone on the internet talk about 'twitchy' bikes and this bike finally made me understand what that means. Very responsive, turns on a dime. Gnarly toe overlap, on gives issues when making a sharp u turn, fairly light, that steel fork doesn't help, but neither do my components, very fast, very aggressive, this bike was obviously meant for sprinting!
Posted about 12 years ago
Why not have some pursuit bars instead? I can't imagine you get in the drops much on the streets.
Posted about 12 years ago
It's not as low as you would think. And they're road drops so they're aren't as deep. But I agree with you, I'm on a budget so I haven't brought in any new bars quite yet.
What do you think of the Deda Lowriders?
I eventually wanna have this bike like a NJS build almost. Pearl stem, Jag seatpost, Nitto bars. You think that the RB-002s would look with a Pearl on this bike?
Posted about 12 years ago
I've been into Profile Airwings. They're drilled too, so if you decide to throw on some TT levers and brakes, still looks clean.
Posted about 12 years ago
Airwing OS? I love those bars! If I were ever to get some 31.8 bullhorns again, I'd probably get those!
Posted about 12 years ago
The black is much nicer. Where did you get it painted?
Posted about 12 years ago
Myself. I just bought some flat black spray paint that the guy said would work well if sprayed over an already painted frame and I just sprayed it on thick over various coats.
I wanna get it proffessionally painted eventually so I don't really care about this paint. Just wanted to get rid of that ugly ass scratched red paint.

Awesome bike! Run threaded!!!

Here's my future build plan. Hatta Swan headset, Nitto Pearl 11 or 12, undecided, Nitto RB-002 or Nitto B123, I'll probably have both and two Pearls, Nitto Jag seatpost, Selle Italia SLR Tekno, some light weight seatpost clamp in silver, Dura Ace FC-7710 Crankarms with the matching BB and a Sugino Zen, probably 55t just because it's fun, HKK Vertex chain, silver outside links and black inside links, Dura Ace FC-7810 pedals, and then I wanna have a rear 88mm China carbon hoop and a front 60mm China carbon hoop. I would love to have them laced to silver Mack hubs, high flange single fixed rear and a road front with silver CX Rays, but idk if I'll be able to get those hubs! Hate Phil Woods, and aside from those two, there aren't much other 24h rear track hubs.
Posted about 12 years ago
And I'm repainting the bike, so image all of those components (all silver with black saddle, black rims (carbon), and black grips) on this color frame.

Sounds like an awesome plan, if I was you though I would probably keep it modern like you have it now, and find one of those 1inch carbon leader forks.
Posted about 12 years ago
Nahh man. The fork is one of my favorite things about this bike! It's like, 25mm rake! Hahaha.
Posted about 12 years ago
Bout time I see your ride a reasonable ratio for the street :D btw great build you should get Sram s900 levers would look great I your bike.
Posted about 12 years ago
I want those levers! Hahaha, there's a lot of shit I need to do to this bike. It's not gonna get done for a while though. :[

Posted over 12 years ago

Posted over 12 years ago
another sick bike bro !
Btw how does it feel when u ride this bike?
Posted over 12 years ago
Amazing! It's very responsive, accelerates extremely fast, and rides very smooth with those tires. :]
Posted over 12 years ago
i hope this frame doesnt end up like ur other persuit frame lol
Posted over 12 years ago
That's literally all I've been thinking about for the last couple of days... Oh well though, if it happens, that's the way it was meant to be.
Posted over 12 years ago
Nice!!!! stretch your back well before and after the ride tho! it killed my back well. hence now i have the orange steel one!
Posted over 12 years ago
damn... this bike is nice too... how are you liking using both rear and front carbon rims?
Posted over 12 years ago
Thanks man! And I like it! I can't really imagine anything better than running on carbon!
Posted over 12 years ago
your welcome... did you have to modify the spokes lenght and how is the rear rim when you tail whip skid??
Posted over 12 years ago
Very nice!
Posted over 12 years ago
Have you considered installing the rear brake on the inside? I think it'll look good :P
Posted over 12 years ago
Hmmmmmm..... That's actually an interesting idea. Idk if I'd like it though...
