Kind of a shame to paint it. C-dale welds are art and the best part of any aluminum frame for me is the shine of super polishing it. You bike though and red bikes go faster, right?lol Enjoy.

The welds on the Capo are nasty, uneven and bumpy. I actually smoothed out a lot of the welds on this frame to make it look a lot better. Yeah I love red bikes, plus the decals I bought are white so it should be a sharp contrast.

Odd. Cdales usually have tasty welds, kind of a trademark thing. Has the frame ever been repaired? Anyway, looks sharp so far.

I agree, Ive owned many Cdales that were smooth and beautiful. No the frame is pretty much brand new, guy I got it from never rode it much. I just wanted something different than the usual Capo.

Rad, I always felt Cannondale could've done so much more with these frames! If you need decals let me know; I think I think I have an extra white set kicking around here

Yeah this build will be like a "what could have been" if cannondale had done it right. Damn I just ordered a set of decals online the other night!

ah ok, what color you planning to do? Look forward to seeing the final build

Red, color matched fork, white decals from an original cdale track, undrilled fork, bottle cage bolt delete, rear brake hole delete and an aggressive cockpit setup.

Theres a red one of these kicking around on the internet and it looks awesome. Very interested to see it without the bosses and brake hole!

Yeah I had seen a pic of what looked like a Major Taylor that was red and it looks awesome. I'm gonna post some updates pics soon of the build process.

A straight fork would look even better.

What about the Alpina? Or are you looking for a steel fork?

The Alpina would work but ive had a hard time finding one. The Bianchi super pista carbon fork would work as well so I might buy one of them.

true that the Super Pista fork would look nice too
