This build is so rad, dude... Seeing this made me pull the trigger on a 1x1 I spotted on craigslist.
Is the 1x(10) conversion a pain in the ass? Or would you say it was worth it?

I'd say it is completely worth it. Couldn't imagine rolling around on those 650b+ tyres with only one gear. I know people who ride SS fatbikes but it just isn't for me.
Setting it up is a bit fiddly but in no way hard. The Problemsolvers hanger is great and then it's just a matter of securing the gear housing with some zipties and dialing it in. Def go for it!
