Current Stage Info:

I got tired of the rando set up pretty quickly. I missed riding this bike in the dirt, so I set it up as a CX bike like I had it back in 2012. I put the carbon fork back and put the old parts I had on it. The only real change since then are the Selle Anatomica saddle and the Yokozuna Reaction Cable System. I love them compression-less housing.

considering building up a double cross as an all purpose commuter/tourer kind of thing.... any tips or special considerations that you learned during the build process w/ yours?

Hey there,
For a commuter build, I suggest getting a wheel set with wide rims off the bat. That was where I messed up in my parts selection in the beginning. Also, be really careful when cutting your steerer tube. I wish I left mine a little longer after turning my bike into a long distance bike.

I hope this helps,
Dean
