This track bike, with the rare olive paint, was built in 1977 in the Diamant bike factory in Karl-Marx-Stadt in former GDR. It was used as a training bike at the “SG Dynamo Forst” (SG = Sportgemeinschaft = sports association) and came to me with a stronglight crankset and bottom bracket. For normal athletes it was complicated and expensive to grab hands on Italian or French parts so this bike was maybe used by a better driver. That’s why I built this bike up with some of the best parts you can get in the '70s like campagnolo hubs, a stronglight seatpost or the Elsner track bar and not with that standard Diamant/Renak parts. Because of the exclusive parts and the good size of the frame this bike is used as my new “track bitch”.
