This is a rather special frame. Build by Arie Simon ? Arie Simon, old cyclist, former owner of a racebike-shop on the east side in Zaandam,Holland. But he was mainly known as the top builder of Derny's. And this was not just national in Holland also international the people knew about the outstanding skills from Arie Simon. I have read on a blog which i will mention at the end of this, that Arie is still active these days with a age over 80 years old! building what he loves most, the derny. He left Holland and is now living in Neerpelt Belgium. . . In his workshop in Zaandam Holland he also made custom ordered steel frames using Reynolds 531 tubing and i have been told that he didnt make that much road aswell as trackrames. So i can prouldy say another Dutch piece of trackcycling history. Courtesy for this info can be found on: http://wielersport.slogblog.nl/post/1/5142 Its in Dutch but u can translate the page using the toolbar u most probally have installed in your toolbar. . I raised the question mark at the start of this trackframe that is because i have doubt that this frame is actually made by Arie Simon. And thats just a feeling i have based on the frame the lugs that are used in comparisment with the paintjob that just looks to new for this frame. a 1960's frame in a 1980's jacket ? But hey who knows ? . 55 center center 56 center top 57 top tube
