1975 Raleigh SBDU track ( sold )

This is a very special one. Built in '74 or '75 for Olympic medalist and world champion Günter Haritz of Germany. Günter was apart of the TI-Raleigh(Netherlands) team from 1975-1977. He raced a lot of 6 day events and maybe this was the frame he used for what could be the frame u see on the link below. http://www.sixday.org.uk/html/1975_wembley.html All the details are correct. The unique hand filed custom capella lugs and scalloped seat stay caps are the exact same and appeared on a few other early SBDU TI-Raleigh's. The distict fork crown is also a exact match, flat crown, oval shape, with a line through the front. It has campagnolo fork and track ends. 531 DB Reynolds tube set throughout. The paint looks factory original, the decals are very thin water transfers. SBDU stickers are the original foil variety. The frame original was painted in the team TI-Raleigh colors- red/black/yellow. Some of the original red paint remains inside of the bottom bracket and headtube. I'm assuming the bike remained with Raleigh team trainers and mechanics being used as a back up or training bike for the team. Then ended up getting the team Panasonic colors in the early eighties when Raleigh switched sponsors. 56 Center center 57,5 Center top 57 Top tube
