Couple months ago i saw this Pogliaghi trackbike for sale, and i knew directly that i wanted to have it :) Quickly i send a message to the seller. Not long after my email, i got a reply. We agreed on a price and he was happy to pack the bike up and ship it to my ends. When the bike arrived i was pretty stoked. The frameset has a really nice patina, and was used by a former professional rider ? . The bottom bracket is stamped 60. P.Bes. 60 for being 60cm center top , and P.Bes for the rides this frameset was made for. I have no idea who P.Bes is, but maybe somebody has a clue ? I asked the seller about this, but he had no clue.... . When the bike arrived i switched the seatpost, saddle and cockit. I assumed the other Campagnolo nuovo record pista parts are original. . . Based on the framenumber #11805 i think this frameset dates back to the 1976 - 1977. . Sante Pogliaghi was one of the acknowledged masters of post war Italian frame builders. He was sought after by top Olympic and Professionals alike. While his track bikes, both tandem and track are most famous, he also made superb road bikes. Sante passed away in the year 2000. May he rest in peace. The rights to manufacture frames under his name had been acquired by Mario Rossin around 1982, then in the later mid 1980s the Basso brothers. . Frames from the 1970s and earlier, made by Sante himself, are highly prized by knowledgeable collectors. . . . 59cm center center 60cm center top 57cm top tube
