The ALAN Competition a high end Italian made aluminum, lugged frame set. A very unusual combination, since most aluminum frames, of the day, lacked external lugs and featured welded joints. But the ALAN did not rely on any welding or brazing process. Rather, the aluminum tubes were screwed and glued into the lugs. This construction help make for very light bicycles, coming in under the twenty pound mark, depending on components installed. Date stamped COMP387meaning that this bike is an ALAN Competition, also indicating that this bike was manufactured March of 1987. Has full Campagnolo Victory Groupo, all mint!
