A bike I have been hoarding for a few years now, and I bike that I personally really love, and consider a piece of my collection. It's super clean and was bone stock with every single detail like new and original to the bike. I purchased this bike off its original owner who took fantastic care of it and barely rode it since new in the mid 1980s. It's a very cool brand name that is not common at all, yet it's the predecessor to one of the biggest cycling names in the world today: Devinci. DC Douglas was made and Canada, and later became Douglas Devinci, and finally was renamed Devinci before they grew to the brand to what we know today. Two engineering students from Chicoutimi, Quebec, founded Devinci Bikes in 1987. Road biking entrepreneur, Felix Gauthier, purchased the company in 1990, moving the brand into its contemporary role as an international player in both road and mountain bike manufacturing. This bike is cool for a few reasons. It's Canadian made, it's a touring bike with massive tire clearances, and it's made of aluminum, which was uncommon for that time period aside from Klein and Cannondale. I have now modernized the bike and added just about every accessory I could to it, so it could be ridden and enjoyed again!
