Favorit 1970s

Favorit has always been a very cool bicycle brand to me, as they made all their own parts in house. Because importing bicycle parts from France and Italy was too expensive for the communist Czechoslovakia, the factory management decided to construct the entire bike locally. The saddle on this bike, has always been a favourite for me. I have owned 2 of these saddles in my life. I love the copper rivets, the bootleg Ideale style design of leather, and mostly the orange button on the front. Favorit has been making bikes under the name since 1951 and they revived the business to resume production of high end bikes made in Czech Republic in 2011.
